All of our retired African straw colored fruit bats are geriatric, many missing teeth due to old age and previous injuries. One fruit bat in particular, our sweet Neptune is missing all of his teeth, he also is missing his lower lip due to an older injury. This makes it a bit challenging for him to not only eat but consume his food as quickly as his roost-mates.
